What's the heaviest upright row you've ever heard of?
I'm curious what would be the heaviest upright row you've seen anybody do for a set of about 6-8?
as a sports conditioning specialist at beyond varsity sport specific training, i've seen a lot of different people doing different styles of an upright row.
using a barbell, the most i've ever seen someone do for 8 reps was 115 lbs. using dumbells, i've seen someone do 35lbs for 12.
personally, its all about functionality. why do you want to do alot of weight on upright rows? when are you ever going to have to lift "135 lbs" like that? you can do other exercises to strengthen your upperback/shoulders.
